Kristen and Ryan called me when good friends of theirs recommended that they have a coordinator for their wedding, namely me! Thanks, Dianna and Bjorn for the recommendation.
Both living in DC, Ryan, a lawyer and Kristen, a health care advocate wanted an elegant garden wedding at the beautiful Meridian House. About 140 guests celebrated their wedding in several rooms including 2 dining areas
and a ballroom for dancing… (awww…first dances are the best!)
The house has a beautiful garden area for the ceremony
And a tree filled space for cocktails after the ceremony. Fortunately, we had perfect weather for this outdoor space!
Kristen and Ryan added many special touches to the wedding day including family wedding photos, their personalized hashtag and personalized escort cards with hand-written messages for each of their guests.
Excellent food and linens were provided by Main Event Caterers and just look at these gorgeous flowers from Shelly Bagdasian of B Floral and Event Design! Centerpieces were a combination of wood boxes with lush white and pink flowers with candles and several high vases with the tree of the day, Cherry Blossoms…It was the last day of the Cherry Blossom festival in DC!
I absolutely loved Kristen’s bouquet – a loose garden style mix of flowers that moved when she did. It was all drapey (that’s a word, right?) and casual but soooo elegant. We used all the bouquets to decorate the ballroom mantle.
This was such a great couple to work with and the vendors were top-notch! In addition to the ones noted above, the other vendors were:
- Perfect Harmony for ceremony and cocktail hour music.
- Graul’s Market Bakery for the cake.
- DJ Derek Romanoff from Bialek’s Music had the guests dancing all night long!
- I can’t wait to share the great photos by Venessa Ramirez of Vness Photography when they are ready.
Congratulations Kristen and Ryan! It was a pleasure being a part of your wedding day!
